Chilli Noodles/ Chop Suey Recipe


  • Noodles= 2 packs
  • Prawns or Chicken (boneless cut into 1 inch square) = 100 grams
  • Red Chilli Powder= 1 tsp
  • Green Chillies=3-4 chopped
  • Ginger= 1 tsp chopped
  • Onion= 1 (finely chopped into 1 inch squares)
  • Cabbage= 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes= 1 chopped
  • Chilli Sauce= 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire Sauce= 2 tsp
  • Oil= as needed
  • Salt= to taste
  • Water= as needed
  • Egg=1-2



Preparation Time= 20- 25 minutes

Serves= 4-5 people



Boil 4-5 Cups of Water in a sauce pan. Add Noodles and cook for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame.

Drain the water of the Noodles in a strainer or sieve. Rinse Noodles with Cold Water. Let the Water drain properly.

Take a Deep Frying pan and deep fry the Noodles. Fry till the Noodles are crispy and are golden-brown. Keep the Noodles.

Take 2 tbsp of Oil and heat the Oil in a Pan. Add Onions and Fry till golden. Then Add Cabbage, Ginger, Chilli Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, Red Chilli Powder and Salt. Fry for 2 minutes.

Next, add Tomatoes, Green Chillies and Prawns or Chicken. Fry for 3-5 minutes

Cook until the Prawns or Chicken gets tenderized.

Now take a plate and place the noodles on the centre.

Pour this mixture on the fried Noodles and on the sides.

Fry an Egg with the yolk and place it on top of the Noodles.

Serve immediately.

You can serve this with Egg Fried Rice as well.
