Chicken Jalfrezi Recipe (CHINESE) Recipe


* Chicken= Boneless 1 kg

* Tomatoes= 3 ( ½ inch thinly cut)

* Onions= 2 (cut in 1 inch square)

* Capsicum= 2 (cut in 1 inch square)

* Chicken Yakhni Soup= ½ cup

* Tomato ketchup= 1-2 cups

* White Pepper= ½ tsp

* Black Pepper= ½-1 tsp

* Red Chilli Powder= 1 tsp

* Ajinomoto (Chinese Salt)= ½ tsp

* Salt= 1 tsp

* Soya Sauce= 2 tbsp

* Chilli Sauce= 2 tbsp

* Worcestershire Sauce= 2 tbsp

* Ginger/ Garlic Paste= 1 tbsp

* Oil= as needed


Take a bowl and add Boneless Chicken, Salt, Ajinomoto (Chinese Salt), White Pepper, Black Pepper, Red Chilli Powder, Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce and ½ cup of Tomato Ketchup.

Let it marinate for 3-4 hours.

Take a Deep Pan and add Oil in it. Add Ginger/ Garlic Paste and then add the marinated Chicken. Fry Chicken till tender

The Chicken will itself leave some gravy/ stew.

Add tomatoes and let them dissolve.

Add Chicken Soup (Yakhni) and let it boil.

Heat 2 tbsp of Oil in a separate frying pan. And add Capsicum. Stir fry Capsicum for 3-4 minutes and take them out in a separate bowl.

Now take 2 tbsp of Oil again in the same frying pan and add Onions and Stir fry them for 3-4 minutes and take them out in the same (capsicum ones) or separate bowl.

Add ½ cup Tomato Ketchup or so as desired to thicken the gravy/ stew of the Chicken Jalfrezi.

Now add the stir fried Onions and Capsicums and mix well. Your Jalfrezi is ready to serve.

Pour in a bowl and Serve hot with Chines Egg Fried Rice.
