Black Pepper Chicken (KAALI MIRCHO KI MURGHI) Recipe



  • Chicken= 1 kg
  • Yogurt= 1 kilo
  • Ginger/ Garlic Paste= 1 tbsp
  • Salt= to taste
  • Black Pepper Powder= 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder= 1 tsp
  • Onion= ½ -1 chopped
  • Peas= 1 cup (optional)
  • Oil= 1-2 dish spoon



Time requires= 30-45 minutes

Serves= 7-8 people



Take a deep bowl. Add Chicken, Yogurt, Ginger/ Garlic paste, Salt, Black Pepper Powder and Cumin Powder. Mix well.

Let It Marinate for 30-45 minutes.

Take a sauce pan and add water and peas to boil. Boil for 15 minutes or till the peas gets soft. Throw the water in the basin or sink and keep the peas aside.

Take a deep pan or a Wok. Heat Oil and add chopped Onion. Fry the onions until they start turning light brown.

Add peas and fry for 3-4 minutes.

Then add the Marinated Chicken mixture to the Onions and fry. Stir with a spoon and let it cook for 20-2 minutes.

Cook till the Chicken is tender.

Serve hot with a Nan or with Boiled Rice.
