Lemon Chiffon Cake Recipe

Lemon Chiffon Cake


* Flour= 250 grams (sifted)

* Baking Powder= 5 ml

* Sugar= 200 grams

* Egg Whites= 7

* Egg Yolk= 5

* Tartar Cream or Lemon Juice= 3 ml

* Orange Rind=15 ml (finely grated)

* Salt= 3ml

* Oil= 125 ml

* Water= 100 ml

* Fresh Lemon Juice= 100 ml


In a bowl, sieve Baking powder and Flour.

Add Salt and Sugar.
Then add Egg Yolks, Orange Rind, lemon Juice, Water and Oil, one by one. (Mixture 1)

In a separate bowl, whisk Tartar Cream or Lemon Juice with egg whites together until stiff. (Mixture 2)

With an Electric Beater, beat both the mixtures together until smooth.

Pour the mixture in a baking pan.

Bake in a preheated Oven for 70-80 minutes at 160’C.

Remove from Oven and Let it Cool.
