What can you do with a machine that just looks pretty and doesn’t have the goods? The ticker inside is a fourth generation Intel Core i5 chip clocked at 1.6GHz, ably supported by 4 gigs of RAM and a 128GB SSD. The spacious backlit keyboard and the generously proportioned touchpad ensure you don’t end with your fingers all tied up in knots.<\/p>\n

It peers back at you with a 13.3in, full HD IPS touchscreen \u2013 running Windows 8 in all its tiled glory. Sony’s loaded it up with its proprietory TRILUMINOS and X-Reality technologies to make sure it offers eye-searing clarity and life-like detail.<\/p>\n

It likes to hook up<\/h2>\n

Anorexic ultrabooks aren’t known for their connectivity options, but the Vaio Pro 13 lets you get hooked up using HDMI, a pair of USB 3.0 ports and NFC. One of those USB ports lets you charge devices even when the ultrabook is switched off. An HDMI-to-VGA adapter is included in the pack, but there’s no Ethernet port, alas. You can shell out extra for a special Wi-Fi router that latches on to the power adapter.<\/p>\n
