How to Make Balti Chicken Recipe

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE BALTI CHICKEN:-

  • Chicken= 1 (cut into 16 pieces)
  • Red Chilli Powder= 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder= 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder= 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder= ¼ tsp
  • Ginger/ Garlic Paste= 1 ½ tbsp
  • Lemon Juice= 3 tbsp
  • Yogurt= 4 tbsp
  • Green Chillies= 4-5
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional)= 2-3 tbsp
  • Yellow Colour= ¼ tsp
  • Coriander Leaves= 1 ½ tbsp. (chopped)
  • Onions= ½ cut into slices
  • Lemon= 1 (Sliced into 4 pieces)
  • Salt= to taste
  • Oil= 1 ¼ Cup

 

PREPARATION FOR BALTI CHICKEN RECIPE:-

Time required to cook Balti Chicken= for marination: 45-60 minutes, to cook: 15-20 minutes

Serves= 5-7 people

 

METHOD TO MAKE BALTI CHCIKEN RECIPE:-

To cook Balti Chicken Recipe, firstly take a deep bowl and add the Chicken Pieces in it. Then add ½ tbsp. of Ginger/ Garlic Paste, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Salt, Worcestershire Sauce (optional), Turmeric Powder, Lemon Juice, Green Chillies, Yellow Food Colour, Yogurt (whipped) and half of the Oil. Mix them well with a spoon and let this Balti Chicken mixture marinate for 45-60 minutes.

Now take a deep pan or a Wok. Heat the remaining half of Oil in it on a medium flame. Add the remaining Ginger/ Garlic Paste and stir for few seconds.

Lower the flame the marinated Balti Chicken pieces with the mixture in the same wok or the deep pan.

Fry the Chicken for few minutes or till the Balti Chicken gets tender.

Transfer the Balti Chicken in a serving dish and garnish it with Onion and Lemon Slices.

Sprinkle chopped Coriander Leaves on top of Balti Chicken.

Serve the Balti Chicken hot with Nan or Boiled Rice.
