Apricot Crumb Pie

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE APRICOT CRUMB PIE RECIPE:-

  • Pie Shell= 1 (unbaked)
  • Apricots= 4 cups (sliced)
  • Unsalted Butter= 2 tbsp
  • Brown Sugar (light) = ¾ Cup
  • Lemon Juice= 1-2 tbsp
  • Sugar= ¼ Cup
  • Quick Cooking Tapioca= 2 tbsp
  • Salt= ½ tsp
  • Cookie Crumbs= ½ cup

 

PREPARATION FOR APRICOT CRUMB PIE RECIPE:-

Time required to make Apricot Crumb Pie Recipe= 60-75 minutes

Serves= 5-6 people

 

METHOD TO MAKE APRICOT CRUMB PIE:-

To make Apricot Crumb pie, firstly take the sliced Apricots in a bowl and sprinkle Lemon Juice over them. (Mixture # 1)

To make the filling ready for the Apricot Crumb Pie, take a separate bowl and add Brown Sugar, Quick Cooking Tapioca, Salt and Sugar. Mix well to combine. (Mixture # 2)

Add the Apricots with the Lemon Juice Mixture # 1 in Mixture # 2 bowl. Keep aside for 20-25 minutes.

Now take a baking pan and keep the Pie Shell on the baking pan. Grease the Pie shell with Unsalted Butter.

Fill the Pie shell with the Apricot mixture that was kept aside.

Again, dot the Apricot mixture in the Pie shell with Unsalted Butter.

Lastly to get the Apricot Crumb Pie ready, sprinkle some Cookie crumbs over the top of the Apricot Crumb Pie.

Preheat the oven at 425’F or oven gas mark 7. Bake the Apricot Crumb Pie for 50-52 minutes.

You can serve the Apricot Crumb Pie hot or cold. If you want to serve the Apricot Crumb Pie hot, when removing from the Oven let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving hot. If you want to serve the Apricot Crumb Pie hot, when removing from the oven let it cool for 5-10 minutes before refrigerating to get the Apricot Crumb Pie chilled.
